The documentary film "Museum of Revolution" by Srđan Keča, produced by Restart, will have a cinema distribution in German cinemas in September 2022. The German distribution partner is Deja-vu Film from Hamburg. Cinema distribution is planned in at least 6 different cities in Germany, and the selection of cinema halls is planned in different parts of the country – Berlin, Düsseldorf, Hamburg, Munich, Ochsenfurt and Weingarten. Winners of the 20th Liburnia Film Festival

At the 20th edition of the Liburnia Film Festival (Opatija, 24.-28.8.), the festival of Croatian documentaries, co-organized by Restart, an award for Best Film was given to the feature documentary 'The Building' by Goran Dević (Petnaesta umjetnost, Kinoljetka). The audience gave the highest marks to 'Bigger than Trauma' by Vedrana Pribačić (Metar 60). The best regional film is 'In Medias Res' by Ana Klepo (Filmaktiv), and the new Critic's Award "Dragan Rubeša" named by the fabulous film critic was given to the film 'A Wonder Into the Ocean' by Toma Zidić (Miratecarts, Pulsar Studios, MedVid Produkcija, Antitalent, Kinoklub Zagreb). The best director of the 20th LFF is Goran Dević ('The Building'). The same film celebrated in the category of the best editing (Jan Klemsche). The best cinematographers are Ivan Slipčević and Davor Sanvicenti ('Places we'll Breathe') and the best sound designer Luka Gamulin ('The Film Factory'). The jury was consisted of five professionals, dramaturg Ivana Vuković, director of the local Art Cinema Croatia Slobodanka Mišković, cinematographer Andrea Kaštelan, sound designer Jakov Munižaba and the director and producer Mladen Kovačević. "Dragan Rubeša" Award was given by the young film critic Iva Rosandić. Ivana Pipal and Vanja Babić again led the 'Film for Beginners' workshop. The 'Regionale' program showed the film made at the Restart's School of Documentary Film, 'Beetroot Soup' by Eva Marija Jurešić, and three more school films had their festival premieres as part of the program 'Restart Presents', 'Kunac' by Michele Bulešić, 'Book of Memories' by Maja Miloš and 'Proposals and Experiments' by Neža Knez. On the last evening, an audience had the chance to see 'Museum of the Revolution' by Srđan Keča and 'Babajanja' by Ante Zlatko Stolica.

"Babajanja" Best Short Documentary at 13. Makedox

Restart's short documentary "Babajanja" by Ante Zlatko Stolica won the Sliced ​​Onion Award in the short documentary competition at this year's edition of the International Creative Documentary Film Festival Makedox, which took place in Skopje from August 18th to 25th. "The Sliced​​Onion Award for the Short Dox section goes to a film that impressed us with its stunning visuals and original way of mixing childhood ghosts with harsh reality. By introducing fictional elements into the documentary narrative, the child's perspective is slowly replaced by the investigation of an adult trying to find the woman who haunted him in dreams, and who was turned into a monster by her fellow villagers because of her difference" reads the explanation of the jury of the 13th Makedox (Marion Czarny, Angeliki Vergou i Suzanne Nodale). The cinematographer of the film is Katarina Zlatec, the editor Iva IvanHrvoje Nikšić was in charge of the sound design, produced by Tibor Keser and Vanja Jambrović.

"Museum of the Revolution" wins Best Documentary at Sarajevo Film Festival

At the just-ended Sarajevo Film Festival, Heart of Sarajevo for the Best Documentary Film won Restart's "Museum of the Revolution" by director and screenwriter Srđan Keča, who also produced the film for Uzrok (Serbia), together with producer Vanja Jambrović (Restart). Co-producers are Czech nutprodukce (Lukás Kokes), Croatian Radiotelevision and Al Jazeera Documentary Channel. The best documentary film was decided by a jury: Hilal Baydarov (director, Azerbaijan), Salomé Jashi (director, Georgia) and Margje de Koning (artistic director of the Movies that Matter festival, Netherlands). Restart's short documentary "Babajanja" by Ante Zlatko Stolica and producers Tibor Keser and Vanja Jambrović won a Special Jury Mention (for the best short documentary). At the industry part of the festival, Restart's minority co-production "Between Revolutions" by Romanian director Vlad Petri and co-producer Oliver Sertić won DAFilms.com Distribution Award, presented at the Docu Talents from the East@Sarajevo.

Short documentaries 'Babajanja' by Ante Zlatko Stolica and 'Bosnian Broadway' by Jasmina Beširević are selected to the short documentary competition (Sliced Onion) at the creative documentary film festival Makedox (Skopje, Macedonia, 18th to 25th of August 2022) The director Manuel Inacker will participate in the 'Development workshop with Tue Steen Muller', great documentary professional with the project 'The Land we Breathe'. Only a day later, after the opening of Makedox, our film 'Museum of the Revolution' by Srđan Keča will open International Cinematographers Film Festival Manaki Brothers (Bitola, Makedonija, 19.-26.8.2022).
